I have a sore throat right now, and I freaking hate it.
Every illness and ailment, however, is an excuse for me to research what natural remedies exist for said sickness. It turns out that many natural sore throat remedies exist from many different cultures, and some of your best sore throat cures are probably lying around right in your kitchen cabinet.
Like any natural health remedy, some of these cures can be very hit-or-miss depending on the person. Compared to an expensive doctor's visit, they are all worth trying out at least once.
Other general tips: stay hydrated with a lot of liquids, suck on hard candies, and avoid sugary food. And take your sore throat as a sign from the universe that you should slow down and take it easy for once.
1. Gargle with salt water. Salt removes excess moisture from your throat, and also kills bacteria.
2. Gargle one tea spoon to two table spoons of apple cider vinegar in water
3. Gargle one tea spoon of tumeric mixed with cup of water.
3. Install a humidifier in your room. By making the air in your living space less dry, the air will be better for your throat.
4. Apple cider vinegar and honey combination. Mix 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar with 1/4 cup honey, and take one teaspoon every few hours as needed.
5. One part apple cider vinegar to two parts warm water, mixed with a pinch of cayenne pepper and a tablespoon of honey.

7. Boil a 1-inch slice of ginger in water, and add honey and lemon for flavor.
8. Take an epsom salt bath.Taking a bath will help you relieve body aches that come with a sore throat and a common cold, and breathing in the steam air will also help your sore throat.
9. Drink or gargle pickle juice.
10. Gargle with hot water and cayenne pepper.
